the lion sleeps tonight

one of my most deliciously favorite mommy moments is happening right now.
peaceful olivia.
sleeping in my arms while we're cuddled up in big chair.
everything is calm and quiet.
reminds me of her sweet baby girl days.
this child 'o mine...
can talk and talk.
can negotiate.
can be relentless in her pursuit of want.
all characteristics that will serve her (and probably others) well in life.
but right now...
mom and dad are on the other side of that table.
rather weary, we are.
